Popular Audiences vs. Academic Audiences

Writing for an academic audience and writing for a popular audience was a VERY different task to say the least. An academic audience is normally reading for informational purpose, were as a popular audience is reading for an opinion or someones view on something, or maybe just because their plain bored. When writing for an academic audience in the Research Paper I had to making sure information  was from reliable, and accurate sources, then citing them, then perfectly critique and put it all together just right…  OMG! The Op-ed, and weblog assignments for a popular audience seemed much easier and had a more relaxing vibe in writing them. Writing for a popular audience is more conversational and in expressing your thoughts and views, and less robotic, how you would normally express yourself to someone in a normal conversation.
